Workshop FAQ
I’m a complete beginner. Am I eligible?
Yes! Beginners are always welcome.
Is this a hands on workshop?
It is not hands on, but it’s okay to have some clay in front of you to work with during the demonstrations.
Is there a fee for canceling if I drop my workshop after I am enrolled?
Yes. If we are given the required 7 day notice we will refund your payments, minus the cancellation fee ($50 per workshop). No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 7 days of the start of the workshop.
Can I watch the recording after the workshop?
A few days after the workshop ends, we will share a link to enable participants to view a recording of the entire workshop. The video will be available for one month and will not be downloadable. In order to be able to view the recording, students must have a Google account (gmail address). If you need to set up a gmail address for this purpose, please be sure to let us know the address by the end of the workshop so that we can send you the link.
What kind of electronic device is required to join the Zoom workshop?
For the best experience, please join from a laptop/desktop computer. Please do not try to sign in to Zoom with two different devices at the same time. — this will create static/noise/general chaos!
What if I’ve never used Zoom before?
Once you are enrolled, we will email you an invitation to enable you to participate in the workshop. Click on the link in the invitation to go to the workshop. If you haven’t downloaded Zoom yet, you will receive prompts in order to do so. Once you have clicked on the link and entered the workshop’s “Waiting Room” it will say “Your host will admit you shortly.” We will admit you to the workshop a few minutes before the workshop starts.
What if I have problems with or questions about Zoom before the workshop?
Please reach out to us at akira@akirasatake.com or 828-231-9750 and we will be happy to try and help you.
